Having delivered a stupendous performance of Prokofiev's 3rd Piano Concerto, Simon Trpceski was awarded Second Prize in the prestigious World Piano Competition 2000. Born in Skopje, Macedonia in 1979, he is no stranger to success in international piano competitions having won prizes in the Czech Republic and Italy (Senigallia, Varallo and Pescara) and, in 1998, winning the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Competition in Skopje. His teachers have included Professors Ljudmila and Boris Romanov and he continues his studies in the Faculty of Music of the University of St Cyril and Methodius in Skopje.
Simon Trpceski's wide repertoire ranges from Bach to the present day, and he has performed to great acclaim in recital and with orchestra in Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Russia, the Czech Republic, Italy, France, Portugal, Turkey and Korea, as well as Macedonia.
His recent all Chopin recording was enthusiastically received by the Jeunesses Musicales followers.
